Project magazine was big news back in the day: the first men’s lifestyle mag made exclusively for the iPad, by Virgin Digital Publishing. It has since been acquired by developer Other Edition, which has now launched a music app spin-off. “Project Sounds is our enhanced music section launched within the December/ January issue of Project magazine,” explains the App Store listing for Project Sounds – a new standalone app based on that enhanced music section. The app includes a full album’s worth of songs from artists to watch in 2012, including Willy Moon, Fluxpavilion, Clock Opera, and Jamie N Commons. People wanting to subscribe to Project Sounds will be charged £13.99 / $19.99 a year, and it’s available on iPhone or iPad.
