Research In Motion has launched an updated version of its BBM Music app for BlackBerry users, with several new features. They include better invitation requests so users can see what people have been listening to and which friends they have in common before accepting a request. Songs and contacts can also be highlighted as favourites, and accessed through specific tabs in the app. There’s a new ‘intelligent shuffle’ mode for playback, and improved notifications. BBM Music launched last year in the UK, US and Canada, although RIM hasn’t provided any stats on how many people have signed up to the subscription service.
