Australian startup Moshcam has launched its app for iPhone and iPad, offering streaming access to its library of hundreds of live concert videos. The app is free, and will let people watch five full-length gigs before prompting them to pay to make individual gigs available permanently. The app works with Apple’s AirPlay technology to show the videos on bigger screens, and includes gigs by the likes of Jane’s Addiction, Blondie, Gary Numan and The Kills. “We’ve filmed over 1,200 hours of incredible live music and we were faced with the enormous challenge of how to get it mobile. Now, with the help of Apple we’ve pulled it off,” says creative director Paul Hannigan.
