Sony’s Music Unlimited cloud/streaming music service has apps for Android devices and the PS Vita gaming handheld, but nothing for iPhone or iPad. That’s about to change. “We will be launching our music service on iOS in the next few weeks,” said Sony Entertainment Network COO Shawn Layden at the IP&TV World Forum conference. “We want to be on as many devices for users who want to be part of Music Unlimited.” He also batted back a question about whether Apple might throw obstacles in the way of the Music Unlimited app’s approval – sensibly, given its approval of apps from Spotify, Deezer, Rhapsody and a host of other similar services.
