Last.fm has announced that Chris Price is joining the company as its new head of music. He joins from a role as director of music programming at MTV in the UK, and before that worked on music strategy for the BBC’s Radio 1. He’ll be in charge of Last.fm’s Music Manager and Last.fm Presents gigs, as well as building other music initiatives at the company. “We’re excited for Chris to step into the role, and lead the team forward on content and artist programs that really showcase the strength of the brand, as well as the opportunities that make Last.fm so appealing to the music community who engage with it daily,” says CBS Interactive Music Group’s VP of content and artist relations Tom Lisack, to whom Price will report.
