How? Until now, purchasers would be sent a voucher, which they’d have to exchange for tickets when arriving at the venut for a music concert or sporting event. With G-Pass, the ticket info and barcode is on the voucher itself, and can be scanned at the venue with no exchange necessary. Ticketmaster is working with Groupon on G-Pass, which will be available at all venues using the ticketing company’s platform in the US and Canada, where GrouponLive deals are available. “G-Pass is a massive benefit to both box offices and event-goers, dramatically increasing the value GrouponLive delivers to the market,” claims Groupon’s Greg Rudin.
