Singer/songwriter Imogen Heap is at it again with the digital innovation, preparing for the release of her ‘Heapsong 6’ track. It’s part of her project releasing every song from her upcoming fourth album as she records them. Heapsong 6 will be released on 22 April and performed live from her home, in a performance livestreamed on Facebook by Fanetwork TV. Heap will be donning “The Gloves” for the performance, which according to the announcement help Heap as she “records and manipulates sound, plays virtual instruments and builds up tracks, all with gestures. She can also amplify acoustic instruments via mics embedded in the gloves – all wirelessly”. And the whole shebang will be powered off ecologically-sound energy sources to celebrate Earth Day, including fans on bicycles.
