Two artist websites worth checking out this week come from Metric and Animal Collective. Metric want fans to piece together the lyrics for their new single Youth Without Youth on their site, before making its sheet music available to download. The idea is that fans will film their own versions of the as-yet unreleased song and post them on YouTube. A nifty idea. Meanwhile, Animal Collective’s new site is based on an art installation they worked on with video artist Daniel Perez at the Guggenheim Museum, playing music and samples from the installation in a (sort-of) digital recreation. It’s a bit baffling, if we’re honest. Looks nice though…
