Sony Music Entertainment has poached HTC exec Brad Spahr to be its new VP of product development, global digital business. He joins from a role as head of content in Americas for HTC. Spahr’s new job will involve overseeing Sony’s iOS, Android and Spotify app development, as well as other new digital initiatives. “With his strong background in digital product development and extensive experience in the digital media and mobile industries, he will help us further grow our business through the development of apps and other music-related digital products, including mobile, online, and gaming experiences,” says EVP global digital business Michael Paull in an email to staff.
