There has been no official announcement at the time of writing, but streaming music service Rdio is definitely live in the UK this morning, with reports on Twitter that it’s also available in France. We’ve been able to sign up for Rdio’s free trial, with a UK-specific subscription page explaining that the service costs £4.99 a month for unlimited web streaming, and £9.99 a month for web plus mobile. Rdio developer Ian McKellar has confirmed that the service is live in the two countries too. The launches come shortly after Rdio signed a pan-European licensing deal with PRS for Music (Bulletin, 22-Mar-12), although the service was already available in Germany, Spain and Portugal.
