The OCC says it’s in “advanced discussions with key video streaming services” to collect their data for a separate chart for videos. The first chart will be published at 1pm BST on 14 May, and then weekly after that. Before then, the OCC says that based on figures from 2012 so far, Ed Sheeran is the most-streamed artist in the UK, followed by Lana Del Rey, David Guetta and Rihanna. No Adele? Ah. “This is a true coming-of-age moment for music streaming in the UK,” says OCC boss Martin Talbot. We’ll have a longer analysis of the new chart and similar developments elsewhere in the world in this afternoon’s Music Ally report.
