Could people’s Spotify playlists help find them love? That’s the hope of music-themed dating sites Tastebuds.fm and Fellody.fm, who have both launched apps on Spotify. Tastebuds digs into users’ records of most-listened artists and their playlists to find potential matches, filtered by gender, age and/or location. Fellody is more about dragging and dropping playlists into the app to find matches. In both cases, the startups will be hoping that Spotify can swell their user bases – and thus enhance their chances of providing accurate matches.
