Wow, BPI boss Geoff Taylor just got out-Geoff-Taylored in the anti-piracy rhetoric. Publishers Association CEO Richard Mollet has come out swinging against “opponents of strong copyright law”, which according to the press release include the Open Rights Group, search engines, ISPs, research councils, The British Library (!) and Consumer Focus. In a speech, Mollet criticises lobby groups of “having the temerity to appropriate the language of freedom of expression as a cloak for their tawdry theft” and “audacious hyperbole in depicting the consequences of implementing laws like the Digital Economy Act”.
