As if anyone needed proof that mobile gaming is exploding, new numbers from Lightspeed Research show exactly how much of a user’s day is being swallowed up on games. It says 60% of phone gamers in the US play for 30 minutes a day while 11% play for two hours or more. Where
it potentially gets interesting for the music business is the fact that 20% of all gamers (and one-third of those aged 18-34) have bought
in-game credits or in-game items.
