Micro-payment `tipping’ platform Flattr has been shown the door by Apple as its payment system stands in violation of the App Store T&Cs. Flattr lets websites and blogs create a donate button so users can make donations as and when they set fit to help keep the sites and services running. Earlier this month, the first problem appeared when Apple rejected an update of the Instacast app as it used the Flattr platform. In a blog posting, Flattr said, “Apple is notoriously secretive about its motives or what would be the compliant and best way of doing things that are sort of new – micropayments to content creators who’s [sic] stuff is available via a 3rd party application.”
