ShareMyPlaylists has updated its app within the Spotify desktop client player and added a number of new features. These include recommended playlists (which scans a user’s play history and makes recommendations based on what they listen to), genre browsing, featured playlists and pop-up descriptions on a number of the 90,000+ curated playlists currently available on the site. The Echo Nest now powers its Playlist Generator and a “drag and drop” feature makes publishing playlists easier. Kieron Donoghue, CEO and founder of the service, said, “We’ve now brought our entire library of over 91,000 hand curated playlists into the Spotify app to offer the widest possible choice of playlists available to enable new music discovery. Our new app offers users different ways to discover new music via our community and also our custom tools like the Playlist Generator.”
