It all started with the Orbital room back in March and now social discovery platform Soundrop is opening its Spotify app to a variety of acts in the coming weeks. On 1st June, Sebastian Ingrosso and Alesso will host “the first-ever House Party” in the app, including answering questions. On 11th June, Silversun Pickups will mark their new album release with a “meet and greet”. And on 13th June, Porter Robinson will take over his own room. Acts using the platform in recent weeks include Sigur Rós, Iron Maiden, One Direction and Kelly Clarkson. Soundrop is also hosting dedicated rooms for a variety of summer festivals including Field Day (UK), Metaltown (Sweden), and Hovefestivalen (Norway).
