We may all love an ingenious digital marketing campaign, but new research from San Francisco-based ad agency Heat offers rather depressing news on their impact among the world at large. The company asked a number of marketing pros and “normal” people whether they had heard of some of the biggest digital marketing campaigns of recent years – from the Wrigley’s Serenading Unicorn to the Burger King Subservient Chicken. The results showed that typically less than 10% of the general population were aware of these campaigns, as opposed to 60%+ of marketing professionals.
