Justin Bieber set for crowdsourced YouTube Presents interview
Justin Bieber is the latest artist to take part in the YouTube Presents interview programme. He’ll be answering questions This Thursday (21-Jun) in a two-way with TV presenter Jimmy Fallon, with the twist that the questions are being submitted on YouTube by fans. So far, just over 7,000 people have submitted nearly 20,000 questions and voted on which should be best. Surprisingly low, you might think, given Bieber’s massive online fanbase.
Vevo names Conor Maynard as next Lift artist
EMI’s Conor Maynard is the latest artist to be chosen for Vevo’s Lift promotion in the UK, following Labrinth and Rita Ora. The fresh-faced popster will be getting an eight-week campaign on Vevo showcasing his music videos, as well as original content to Vevo’s 12m British users. The company says that Labrinth notched up 5m Lift video views during his eight-week stint, while Rita Ora got 10.6m only halfway through her campaign.
