The phrase ‘Ginger Wildheart triple album’ may not trip off the tongue – although we loved the Wildhearts in their heyday – but that’s what the band’s frontman is working on. What’s more, he’s become one of the most successful crowdfunding campaigns on PledgeMusic, raising £200k for the 30-song project, which is titled 555%. The campaign included allowing pledgers to vote on which 12 tracks should be released separately as a one-disc ‘100%’ album. PledgeMusic says that the album is expected to hit the Top 10 in the UK based on presales.
