Karaoke site PureSolo has launched an official iPhone and Android app for Ice-T’s new documentary film The Art of Rap. The app, which is available for free, encourages people to rap or sing along to the provided beats, mix a recording and upload it to The Art of Rap website for other people to rate. Tracks from Snoop Dogg, Cypress Hill, MC Lyte and 2Pac are also available to purchase in-app for $0.99 apiece, with promotional features to plug the film and its DVD, as well as Sony’s soundtrack album. PureSolo’s website notes that the company is launching its own app soon too.
