Please don’t use the EDM acronym here. EMI’s new Electrospective initiative is celebrating electronic music back to its earliest days in the late 1950s. There’s a website gathering historical content as well as music from the EMI, Mute and Virgin catalogues, and an online store. But in July there’ll also be an OpenEMI sandbox of content for developers to experiment with, followed by a Spotify app in August, and interviews/videos streaming on various social media sites.
