
It’s five years since Apple started selling its first iPhone, and Strategy Analytics has been digging into the company’s financials to find out how valuable the device and its successors have been. And? Cumulative iPhone revenues of $150bn for Apple, which has shipped 250m iPhones since 29 June 2007. The company is warning that the next five years could be tougher though: “Some mobile operators are becoming concerned about the high level of subsidies they spend on the iPhone, while Samsung is expanding its popular Galaxy portfolio and providing Apple with more credible competition.”
