Dancing robots are the future of music, right? No. Sorry to break it to you so bluntly. But we can’t help but smile at the sight of Shimi, a musicbot developed by Georgia Tech’s Center for Music Technology. The head-bobbing foot-tapping robot plays music using a docked Android smartphone, including the ability to listen to your clapping and play a suitable-tempo track in response. Toy company Tovbot will be selling Shimi in 2013.
