There’s a big shake-up going on at Yahoo for music. Having announced Spotify as its new streaming partner earlier in the week, now Yahoo has a separate deal with Clear Channel’s iHeartRadio. It will be Yahoo’s ‘exclusive music radio service’, promoted across the company’s Music, Movies and OMG sites. Meanwhile, the two companies will undertake various cross-promotion activities. As we said for Spotify, Yahoo remains a big web brand with lots of traffic, so it’s a good move for iHeartRadio as it looks to gain more ground on Pandora.
