He has a shot at the latter, after a US federal judge granted Dotcom’s lawyers permission to file a motion to dismiss the allegations against him and his company. However, the judge refused a request to unfreeze assets to help pay for the legal costs. Meanwhile, Dotcom himself has been seeking more headlines by claiming that US vice president Joe Biden is behind the Megaupload shutdown, following Biden’s meeing with a group of film industry executives shortly before his mansion was raided.
