The latest music artist using BitTorrent to promote a new album is Chester French. The band have released a ‘media bundle’ on the filesharing service that includes album tracks, remixes and album art. People who download the bundle will be pointed to the band’s website as well as iTunes. One half of the band is D.A. Wallach, who’s also artist-in-residence at Spotify. Chester French’s promotion follows similar efforts by Counting Crows, Death Grips and Pretty Lights.
