One of the more puzzling music piracy-related lawsuits continues in the US, where World Digital Rights is targeting 80 alleged filesharers of an album by metal band All Shall Perish. Now there’s a countermotion to quash the action on the grounds that World Digital Rights doesn’t have the, ahem, rights to pursue it. Meanwhile, the band are still steaming mad about the whole farrago. “The band is obviously not involved in this bullshit as you know. I’m not going to keep repeating myself on that. And there’s nothing to contradict that. NOTHING,” their manager tells TorrentFreak. “This was done without the band’s knowledge or cooperation and has continued AGAINST their extremely vocal protests in private and in public.”
