It’s looking like US ISPs will be sending warning letters out to alleged filesharers before their counterparts in the UK, despite the US industry’s initiative only having been agreed last year. The deal, brokered between the MPAA and RIAA and the largest ISPs in the US, was due to trigger initial warning letters by the end of 2011. That’s now slipped, but 2012 is now on course according to the Centre for Copyright Information. “We expect our implementation to begin later this year, with each of the ISPs launching at potentially overlapping but different times,” a spokesperson tells TorrentFreak.
