We wrote about social video-sharing app Vyclone when it soft-launched in the UK earlier this year (Bulletin, 21-May-12) – it’s the app that automatically creates multi-angle videos of footage shot in the same place at the same time. For example, gigs. Now Vyclone has launched in the US and revealed more details of its funding. Co-founded by Sting’s son Joe Sumner, the free iPhone app is the work of a team split between Los Angeles and London. The company raised $2.7m late last year, with backers including Madonna’s manager Guy Oseary and actor/investor Ashton Kutcher. Live Nation and Dreamworks have also made strategic investments in the company.
