Facebook’s recent Timeline for Pages switch had a markedly negative impact on third-party Page management services like RootMusic and FanRx. Now the social network is improving its own features for Page admins. This includes the ability to schedule posts in the future – between 10 minutes and six months after a post is created. Admins can also create ‘unpublished Page posts’ to be used as sponsored posts elsewhere on Facebook without showing up on their own Timeline. Facebook has also tweaked its Page Admin Permissions settings, to allow admins to only give partial access to third parties – for example, ad companies who need to be able to manage ads for a page and see their stats, but don’t need to be able to create posts or monitor comments.
