Russian search engine announced plans for a licensed music subscription service earlier this year (Bulletin, 31-May-12). Now its iOS app is live. Yandex Music appeared in the App Store over the weekend, and is available to people in Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, and Kazakhstan for a monthly subscription fee of 199 roubles (around $6.99). People can subscribe within the iPhone app or on the Yandex website, with the service running seamlessly across both platforms, including playlist-syncing.
