The latest of many artists to crowdsource music videos from their fans is Dave Matthews Band. “Dave Matthews Band want YOU to be in the music video for Mercy. We will edit your pictures and film into one unique music video for Mercy,” the band’s website explains. There is some guidance, though: fans can choose to contribute photos or videos, and are presented with a list of categories – for photos, they include Body Parts, Show Some Love, Your Cause and Sign Language, for example, each with specific instructions.
