We’ve been tracking the growth of video-sharing app Viddy – 10.9 monthly active users (MAUs) at the time of writing according to AppData. Now the LA-based startup has launched its public API for other app developers to use, enabling their own users to upload videos via Viddy. It’s something that could be of use to music app developers, particularly for artist apps. That said, there is reason to be cautious about Viddy too: 10.9m MAUs is good, but that’s down from 17m-odd just a month ago, and down 2.2m in the last seven days alone.
