Sony Music and Warner Music were never likely to get the $50m each they claimed to be owed by bankrupt digital music startup Beyond Oblivion. Now the major labels have agreed a settlement with the company that will see each getting between $1.5m and $2m. That may help new owner Gee Beyond Holdings (GBH) in its efforts to relaunch (well, launch, given that it never launched first time round) its Boinc service. This week, Boinc’s iPhone app appeared on the App Store in a private beta (Bulletin, 30-Jul-12).
