Last month, we wrote about Android-based games console Ouya, which is raising money on Kickstarter with plans to go on sale in 2013. $6.3m of funding later, Ouya has its first music partnership, with Vevo. “We support and share Ouya’s vision that the future lies in being open and accessible for users looking for high quality entertainment experiences,” says Vevo’s SVP of product and technology Michael Cerda. Details on the partnership are thin on the ground though: Vevo’s Android app should work on Ouya anyway, so we’ll have to wait and see how much deeper the two companies’ integration goes.
