Music Ally’s BritTwit 50 to Follow on Twitter

Okay, Billboard, so you’ve got your annual Twitter 140: The Music Industry Characters You Need to Follow special. But it’s a bit American.

We won’t be getting essential GOLD MEDAL updates, X Factor UK commentary and cultural references to chips from them.

Record Of The Day had a stab at suggesting some British music industry figures to follow, but we’ve also been doing some thinking.

Here’s our list of 50 people (mainly) in digital music who (as far as we know) are British or UK-based and who (sometimes) tweet interesting things. Or the BritTwit 50, as we like to call it.

If you’re not in, we still love you, don’t hate us. If you are in, tell the world (but tell your colleagues who aren’t in not to hate us). And make suggestions in the comments for other BritTwits worth following. We’ll be maintaining an expanded Twitter list….
