British band Bloc Party have a new iPhone app out today. It’s the work of UK studio Six Two Productions, building on top of Mobile Roadie’s platform. That means that alongside the usual news, music, merch, touring dates, photos and video features, there’s also a unique ‘Weather Fourcast’ feature. The app checks the user’s location, then provides a forecast, complete with a short video clip of a band member delivering it. Which may sound small, but it’s a sign of how even artist apps produced using standard platforms like Mobile Roadie can be customised by a clever developer.
