We wrote about social app Ptch earlier this year (Bulletin, 20-Jul-12): incubated by Hollywood studio DreamWorks Animation, it helped people make 60-second slideshows using videos, photos and music. Now it’s got its first deal with a music artist to use the app to connect with their fans. DJ Kaskade – currently riding the EDM wave in the US – will be using Ptch to share backstage nuggets during his Freaks of Nature tour. The nature of Ptch means fans will then be able to remix the clips that Kaskade releases through the apps and create their own slideshows.
