The Olympic closing ceremony last night may have, ahem, divided opinions but it certainly paid off for the Spice Girls, according to new stats from Twitter. The company has revealed that the Girls inspired more than 116,000 tweets per minute during their performance at the ceremony, the most of any performer on the night and beating even the 80,000 tweets a minute racked up by Usain Bolt’s 200-metre gold-winning run.
