Someone is lying to Evolver.fm and it isn’t at all happy about it. The music app site has been looking into the Grooveshark Downloader, a Google Chrome extension that makes it possible to download songs from Grooveshark’s music streaming service for free, and has come up against a brick wall: Grooveshark says it has asked Google – which won’t allow Grooveshark apps onto its Chrome or Android app stores – to take down the app from the Chrome store; but Google says it has received no formal removal requests for the extension in question.
