Surfthechannel owner Anton Vickerman has launched a tirade against the Federation Against Copyright Theft (FACT) after being sentenced to four years imprisonment for conspiracy to defraud. Vickerman alleges in an 18,000-word posting on his blog that FACT, which ran a private prosecution against him, sent an agent to film inside his home by posing as a potential house buyer and used another agent to pose as a potential investor. FACT declined to comment, although it noted that “this case has been through an eight-week criminal trial with a verdict decided by a jury”.
