Every so often, controversial streaming music Grooveshark releases a list of new (and often obscure) independent labels that have agreed to add their music to its platform. The subtext: ‘Look! Some labels do support us!’, even as the company battles lawsuits from bigger fish in the music industry. Anyway, its latest crop of signings includes 10 labels: Paper + Plastick, Warrior Records, 1320 Records, Bang Gang Records, Duckhead Green, Palaver Records, Amplifi Digital, Accendo Media, Dox Records and Eponymous Entertainment. As Digital Music News notes, it seems hundreds more may have ditched Grooveshark this year amid the negative publicity around its business.
