Matchbox Twenty are the latest band to work with startup GoPano on a 360-degree interactive music video. The promo for She’s So Mean allows fans to move their mouse around the video to change their viewing angle (cynics, insert joke here about choosing a viewing angle that involves neither listening to or watching Matchbox Twenty). Label Atlantic is chuffed with the results though: “GoPano’s technology allows users to immerse themselves into the content and gives them a sense of control in regards to viewership,” explains digital marketer Thanh Nguyen. The last time we wrote about GoPano was early this year when Matador-signed band Tanlines used it. There have also been a spate of 360-degree video apps using other technologies released in recent times: Slash, Muse and Black Eyed Peas being three examples.
