Earlier this year, social video-sharing Twitvid announced plans to rebrand itself as Telly, with an emphasis on discovery of those videos. Now, a couple of months on, there’s an iPhone app for that. “Create and share beautiful videos with custom lenses and background music. Discover and watch videos from your friends, well-known creative people from around the world, as well as today’s most popular videos from across the web,” explains its App Store listing. Which makes it sound a lot like Socialcam, the app that Autodesk recently bought for $60m. The music angle? Expect music videos to feature highly in the ‘most popular videos’ category. But the ability to add soundtracks to users’ own videos is also intriguing for rightsholders…
