YouTube is testing a new way to help people discover videos on its service: Moodwall. Screenshots posted of the test reveal the phrase “explore videos by vibe”. Said vibes include Funny, Strange, Creative, Epic, Gross and Inspiring, although sadly not yet ‘Bonkers Korean Rapper Doing Imaginary Horse Dancing’. YouTube hasn’t commented yet on its plans for the test, which doesn’t appear to be available for all users. Much of YouTube’s emphasis in recent times has been in promoting channels rather than individual videos, but Moodwall indicates it still has some ideas for the latter.
