The idea of cacheing songs from streaming music services on a smartphone or tablet for offline listening is now well established. In fact, it’s become a standard feature for these services’ apps. In the TV world, rights issues have made this a trickier proposition, but that’s changing.  “With mobile downloads, you can now load up your mobile phone or tablet with hours and hours of BBC programmes, then watch them on the road, on the tube, on a plane, without worrying about having an internet connection or running up a mobile data bill,” explains the Beeb’s Daniel Danker. Shows will be available for 30 days, or within seven days of being watched
