Well, obviously fans will be part of it, in the audience. But The Killers are planning to get fans further afield involved in their upcoming American Express Unstaged webcast. The idea: fans submit photos of themselves holding up signs saying their hometown name, through Facebook, Instagram or a web upload tool. The photos will be shown on big screens at the New York gig later this month, with the livestream due to be directed by filmmaker Werner Herzog. “I want to get the sense of having the whole world on stage with us,” says drummer Ronnie Vannucci. A simple thing to do, but fun and engaging.
