Filesharing website Demonoid was once a key villain for the entertainment industries, but it has been offline for weeks after a mysterious hack attack took the site down, then a police raid kept it there. Now the site’s unnamed admin has been talking about its plans to revive. Well, its lack of plans: “Nothing interesting to report yet,” they tell TorrentFreak. “I hope there will be one day, but it might not be soon… We are down, and we’re not looking into putting the site back up at the moment.” There is no shortage of other filesharing moles for rightsholders to whack, but anti-piracy campaigners will be keeping an eye on Demonoid just in case it makes a comeback.
