How many are actually using the standalone Google+ social network? “I’m happy to report that we have just crossed 100,000,000 monthly active users on Google+,” writes Gundotra – a figure that includes the website and mobile apps. A bustling cybermetropolis? Well, not quite: as GigaOm points out, anyone starting a video chat from Gmail or Google Talk is taken to the to use its Hangouts feature, so that may be bumping up the numbers.
